Hello everyone…

After a long journey of writing, rewriting, doubting, continuing, and countless hours spent with my characters, I can finally say it:

My new book is finished.

This book is especially meaningful to me because it is not a standalone story — it is the beginning of a series of three books. Reaching the end of this manuscript feels like crossing one finish line and standing at the start of an even bigger adventure.

The story follows a young girl whose life changes forever when she is transformed into a vampire. But this is not simply a story about becoming something different — it is about learning how to live with that change.

At her side is the vampire who turned her: not just her creator, but also her teacher, protector, mother figure, and supporter. Together they face difficult choices, painful moments, and the challenge of existing between two worlds — the world of humans and the world she never asked to join.

At its heart, this story is about connection, survival, identity, and finding family in unexpected places.

Now that the manuscript is complete, I’ve reached an unexpected obstacle.

I had been encouraged to publish the book independently through Amazon, which sounded like an exciting next step. But there is one challenge: my manuscript currently sits at around 178,000 words and 692 pages, and Amazon’s print limits allow for a maximum of around 550 pages depending on formatting and print options.

Because of this, I’m taking time to consider what comes next. Do I divide the story into smaller volumes? Reformat and edit for print? Release different editions?

And there may be another important step ahead: I might have to look for a new literary agent to represent this book and help find the best path forward for publication. That is something I never expected when reaching the finish line of writing, but publishing is its own journey with its own decisions and challenges.

Right now, I’m keeping an open mind and exploring the possibilities that will serve both the story and future readers best.

One thing I do know: after coming this far, I’m not giving up on bringing this world to readers.

Thank you to everyone who encouraged me, listened to ideas, supported me through the process, or simply asked, “How is the book going?”

This is only the beginning.

More updates soon.
